[= dům zkázy], město na východ od Jordánu pod horou Fazga u Mrtvého moře [Joz 12,3 ]. Tvořilo jižní část ležení Izraelitů u Setim [Nu 33,49 ]. Později bylo přiřčeno pokolení Rubenovu [Joz 13,20 ]. V době Ezechielově [Ez 25,9 ] náleželo Moabským. U Ez se nazývá Betjesimot.

Beth-jeshimoth
house of wastes, or deserts, a town near Abel-shittim, east of Jordan, in the desert of Moab, where the Israelites encamped not long before crossing the Jordan [(Num 33:49 ); A.V., "Bethjesimoth"]. It was within the territory of Sihon, king of the Amorites (Josh 12:3).
