hlavní město v Lycii, 20 honů [asi 3,2 km] od moře. Apoštol Pavel na své cestě do Říma [Sk 27,5 ] plul z Cesareje na lodi adramytenské a z Myry pak na lodi alexandrinské, která ztroskotala u Malty. Ze staré doby udrželo se zde nádherné divadlo a skalní hroby a nápisy. Dnes se město jmenuje Dembre.

Myra
one of the chief towns of Lycia, in Asia Minor, about 2 1/2 miles from the coast (Acts 27:5). Here Paul removed from the Adramyttian ship in which he had sailed from Caesarea, and entered into the Alexandrian ship, which was afterwards wrecked at Melita (Acts 27:39-44).
