Shalem

Description

A place near which John the Baptist worked [J 3:23 ]. It is possibly today's S., about 6 km east of Shechem. Others think of the Fârvalley, about 9 km northwest of Jerusalem, where there are many springs. About 3 km from there is a valley that today is called Wadi Saleim.
