Bamot-Baali
Kirjeldus
[= kõrgused] on lühend nimest Bamot-Baal [Nm 21:19; Joos 13:17 ], linn Moabi piirkonnas Arnonist põhja pool, 4 km lõuna pool Nebo mäest. Nimi ise viitab sellele, et seal oli Baali pühamu [Js 15:2 ]. Siin peatusid iisraellased mõnda aega oma teekonnal Tõotatud Maale [Nm 22:41].

Bamoth-baal
heights of Baal, a place on the river Arnon, or in the plains through which it flows, east of Jordan [(Josh 13:17); comp. (Num 21:28)]. It has been supposed to be the same place as Bamoth.
