바알헤르몬

설명

바알헤르몬 [삿 3:3 ; 대상 5:23 ]은 일반적으로 헤르몬산 또는 이 산에 있는 성소로 간주됩니다. 이 산맥은 세 개의 이름을 가지고 있는 것으로 알려져 있으며 [신 3:9 ], 바알헤르몬은 바알을 숭배하는 페니키아인들 사이에서 흔히 사용되는 네 번째 이름일 수 있습니다. 이 산은 요단강 동쪽에 있는 므낫세 반 지파에게 할당된 영토의 북서쪽 경계를 형성했습니다.

Baal-hermon

lord of Hermon.

(1.) A city near Mount Hermon inhabited by the Ephraimites (1Chr 5:23). Probably identical with Baal-gad (Josh 11:17).

(2.) A mountain east of Lebanon (Judg 3:3). Probably it may be the same as Mount Hermon, or one of its three peaks.
