딤낫세라
설명
[= 태양의 몫?], 에브라임 산악 지역에 있는 장소로, 가아스 산 북쪽 기슭에 위치하며 여호수아가 그의 몫에 묻힌 곳입니다 [Judg 2:9]. 이곳은 샘이 있는 종교적 장소였습니다. 이름의 의미도 이 방향을 가리킵니다. [수 19:50 ; 수 24:30 ]에서는 이 이름이 딤낫세라입니다. 오늘날의 티브나일 가능성이 있으며, 리다에서 북서쪽으로 약 20km, 케프르 하리스에서 남서쪽으로 약 12km 떨어져 있습니다. 사마리아 전통에 따르면 여호수아와 갈렙 모두 이곳에 묻혔다고 합니다. 발굴 결과 많은 고대 무덤이 발견되었습니다.

"Of all sites I have seen," says Lieut. Col. Conder, "none is so striking as that of Joshua's home, surrounded as it is with deep valleys and wild, rugged hills." Opposite the town is a hill, on the northern side of which there are many excavated sepulchres. Among these is the supposed tomb of Joshua, which is said to be "the most striking monument in the country." It is a "square chamber with five excavations in three of its sides, the central one forming a passage leading into a second chamber beyond. A great number of lamp-niches cover the walls of the porch, upwards of two hundred, arranged in vertical rows. A single cavity with a niche for a lamp has been thought to be the resting-place of the warrior-chief of Israel."
