Mesto istočno od Jordana na teritoriji plemena Gada [Sud 10:17 ; Sud 11:11 , Sud 11:29 ], moguće identično sa Masfom [IsN 13:26 ], takođe nazvano Ramot u Galadu [Pnz 4:43 ; 1Car 4:31 ; 2Car 8:28 ] ili jednostavno Rama [2Car 8:29 ]. Bilo je dodeljeno Levijama [IsN 21:38 ] i pretvoreno u grad utočišta [Pnz 4:43 ; IsN 20:8 ]. Jeftaj je nekada živeo ovde [Sud 11:34 ], a tokom Solomonove vladavine, bilo je dom jednog od 12 poreskih službenika zemlje [1Car 4:13 ]. Pali su u ruke sirijskih kraljeva [1Car 22:3 ff; 2Car 8:28 ]. Tokom Makabejskih ratova, zauzeo ga je i uništio Juda Makabejac. Nalazilo se negde na reci Jabok.

Ramath-mizpeh
the height of Mizpeh or of the watch-tower (Josh 13:26), a place mentioned as one of the limits of Gad. There were two Mizpehs on the east of the Jordan. This was the Mizpeh where Jacob and Laban made a covenant, "Mizpeh of Gilead," called also Galeed and Jegar-sahadutha. It has been identified with the modern es-Salt, where the roads from Jericho and from Shechem to Damascus unite, about 25 miles east of the Jordan and 13 south of the Jabbok.
