Ar-ma-ghê-đôn
Mô tả
[= đồi Mê-ghi-đô, Mê-ghi-đô], nơi mà theo [Kh 16:16 ] các vua của thế giới dưới sẽ tụ họp cùng với con rồng, con thú và tiên tri giả, tức là các linh hồn quỷ dữ, để tiến hành chiến tranh chống lại Chúa. Khải Huyền ở đây có lẽ ám chỉ đến những trận chiến đẫm máu đã diễn ra tại Mê-ghi-đô.

Armageddon
occurs only in [(Rev 16:16) (R.V., "Har-Magedon")], as symbolically designating the place where the "battle of that great day of God Almighty" (Rev 16:14) shall be fought. The word properly means the "mount of Megiddo." It is the scene of the final conflict between Christ and Antichrist. The idea of such a scene was suggested by the Old Testament great battle-field, the plain of Esdraelon (q.v.).
